Happy Song 02:46
HAPPY SONG Come on along, sing a Happy Song Put a skip in your step and you can’t go wrong. Come on along sing a Happy Song As loud as you can…all day long. La, la, la Da, da, da Hey, hey, hey Ha, ha, ha Come along with me and see what you can see Open up your eyes and look around. There’s a bright blue sky and red balloons, Yellow balls as big as the moon Strawberry fields and banana trees, Lollipops for you and me. Come on along, sing a Happy Song Put a skip in your step and you can’t go wrong. Come on along sing a Happy Song As loud as you can…all day long. La, la, la Da, da, da Hey, hey, hey Ha, ha, ha Come along with me and see what you can be Just imagine and pretend A sailor on the deep blue sea, The king or queen or Candy Beach The winner of a great big race, An astronaut up in space. Come on along, sing a Happy Song...

Tall 01:38
TALL I want to be Tall I don’t want to be small. I got a pretty face and guess it’s okay but I want to be Tall. My friend Paul plays basketball. He makes it look so easy. He’s got to be at least a million feet tall— He bends down to look at me. I want to be Tall I don’t want to be small. I stand on my hands and it’s nice that I can but I want to be Tall. Playing my piano I feel so Tall. Guess I’m pretty good. Paul wants me to teach him this fall I think I really could Mom says we’re all kinda special— As different as can be. It shouldn’t matter much about the height of my head when it comes to being me. Oh, I don’t want to be Tall It’s okay to be small. I don’t need to be as tall as the trees… I don’t have to be Tall I don’t want to be Tall.

Never End 02:46
NEVER END Underneath the morning sun, all the birds sing as one Anything is possible today. I can climb the highest tree, see the world that waits for me Anything is possible today. I wish this day would Never End I wish this day would Never End. A rabbit scoots across the yard, jumping high and going far Anything is possible today. Daffodils are in full bloom, say goodbye to winter’s gloom Anything is possible today. I wish this day would Never End I wish this day would Never End. There is nothing that we can’t do- There is nothing we can’t get through- On a day like this I feel invincible. Words: Lisa Mathews & Mikel Gehl Music: Mikel Gehl C 2002 Deck Party Music

That's Me 03:03
THAT’S ME I like to eat dirt, dump it on chairs - mix it with water and smear it on my hair. I like to climb stairs where new things wait crawl down halls to a brand new place. Yeah, I’m a great artist, cook and inventor I’m a sweet baby on a big adventure Ask me what I’m doing and I ain’t tellin’ Sometimes I’m fooling and that’s just swell And That’s Me That’s Me That’s Me Who’s that pretty girl staring back at me? I see her here a lot – who can she be? She makes funny faces, sticking out her tongue Sometimes I wonder could we two could be one Yeah, I like my reflection she’s as cute as can be. I gotta admit, she looks a lot like me Dancing and laughing and smirking like I do It took me a while, but I’m pretty darn sure That’s Me That’s Me That’s Me Words and music by Lisa Mathews and Miles Anderson

DANCE ON MY SHOES My Daddy’s funny…he keeps me laughing… spins me up into the sky so blue. Kisses my tummy, he’s always crafting some silly thing for us to do… When we turn the music on good times are on the way… hey, hey When we turn the music on everybody starts to sway…hey, hey. Everybody’s laughing and Daddy says to me: Ask me for a rainbow and I do my best to find one… Whatever you desire, well, I give this and then some. Baby don’t you know that I’ll do anything for you… And anytime you want to, well, you can Dance On My Shoes. My mother smiles as we start spinning It’s not long before she’s clapping hands. Now grandma’s singing, and puppy jumps in Kitty meows cause she don’t understand. When we turn the music on good times are guaranteed, you’ll see When we turn the music on everybody’s on their feet mmmm Mommy, Grandma and me all singing, and Daddy says to me… Ask me for a rainbow and I do my best to find one… Whatever you desire, well, I give this and then some. Baby don’t you know that I’ll do anything for you… And anytime you want to, well, you can Dance On My Shoes.

WHEN YOU WERE BORN When You Were Born the Sun rose early to meet you and I saw its warmth reflected in your face. When You Were Born the birds sang out so sweetly and their songs drifted deep up into space. And when the night came in the Moon shone like a diamond and I do believe the stars spelled out your name. And the fish jumped up with glee like the dolphins in the sea and the animals on Earth all did the same. When You Were Born I held you in my arms, whispered "I love you" and cried tears of joy. words & music by Lisa Mathews c 2002 Milkshake Music

Try 02:49
TRY The day you learned to walk, the world opened up to you. When you learned to talk, we knew what you wanted to do. Swim in the blue ocean, ride your bike fast and far paint a picture of a friend or make a map of where you are. You can do anything, go anywhere - All you gotta do is Try C'mon and Try. Wanna climb that tree, strum that big guitar. It's all within your reach, and in your dreams you touch the stars. You can do anything, go anywhere - All you gotta do is Try C'mon and Try. If everything was easy - if everything was fun - you wouldn't have that great feeling after a job well-done.

Scared 02:56
SCARED There’s a hole in the fence in the back of my yard. I like to sneak out, but I never go far. All kinds of things hanging out in the trees And I don’t like the way they’re looking at me. I get Scared at creepy things Bats that bite, bugs that sting. I get Scared and I don’t why But I’ll get over it by and by and by the stairs there’s a door to a tiny room It’s just a closet but I swear the broom moved. I hear noises in the middle of the night Sounds like it’s coming from somewhere inside. I get Scared and I wanna run I get Scared, this is no fun. The world can be a spooky place But if you hold my hand I’ll be okay. Ooo, when I think of it I got nothing to be afraid of… Got everything I need, and mama and daddy’s love. Monsters, goblins and ghosts and noises in the night Are all just in my mind, I know I’ll be alright… Looking out the window at the darkening sky I’m turning on the lights while my kitty cat hides. The lightening and the thunder and the wind and the rain- My brother thinks it’s cool but I’m really not entertained. I get Scared and I can’t explain why I shake like a house in a hurricane. I get Scared so please stay near, and I won’t be so full of fear. I get Scared, like everyone else- I get Scared all by myself But I won’t be Scared try not be Scared I’m not Scared.

GOODNIGHT MOON The Sun comes up long after you start singing some giggly tune In a language I don’t quite understand. The day goes by in a beautiful way – We dance, we sing and we play. Don’t you know babe, I’m your biggest fan? My, my, what a sweet day it’s been. The Sun’s gone, now it’s time to turn in. Say goodnight to the runaway bunny The pokey old puppy and that bear who likes honey. Say goodnight to daddy and mommy- Say goodnight room, Goodnight stars, Goodnight Moon… Goodnight Moon. There’s nothing as sweet as your smile and I can’t let go of child. You bring so much happiness to me. Sometimes it’s not easy – I don’t care. There’s so many thoughts and things I want to share Through the years I’ll try to give you all you need. My, my, what a long day it’s been. WHEN YOU ARE SLEEPING When you are sleeping what are you dreaming of? Do you have wings to fly into the skies above? High over housetops, smiling at birds… Soaring in circles, too happy for words. So sweet, sweet baby dream You can do anything baby, dream. When You Are Sleeping what are you dreaming of? Are you a mermaid, swimming the sea of love? There in the deep blue, fish are your friends Dolphins dance ‘round you, the fun never ends. So sweet, sweet baby dream You can do anything baby, dream.

CLOSE YOUR EYES Close Your Eyes, set sail on the sea In a boat full of chocolate, cherries and cheese. Let the warm winds take you away to islands where teddy bears play. Close Your Eyes, fly to the stars Pick diamonds on Venus, rubies on Mars The Man in the Moon is waving goodbye as your rocket ship flies through the sky. Close Your Eyes and sleep my baby I’ll be here when you wake. Close Your Eyes and dream sweet baby… I will love you always. Close Your Eyes, tomorrow is near What will you do when the new day is here. Climb up a mountain, float down a stream… Close Your Eyes, Close Your Eyes… Close Your Eyes and dream. about

Milkshake's debut kindie release, inspired by the birth of Lisa Mathews' daughter, and Mikel Gehl's son. These are the early gems, simple and catchy, with many songs meant to be sung to or with your child. Others - like "Goodnight Moon" and "When You Were Born" - express the all-over-the-map emotions that a first-born can bring. You can find videos for a few songs on www.youtube.com/milkshakekids.

Shout-out to the ethers: RIP John Such. We miss you and thank you for being such an important part of this music. You are all over this with your brilliance.
